The whole experience was fantastic. The crew were so friendly and helpful, food was great (chef catered really well to our daughters GF diet). Cabins were clean. Activities included sea kayaking to a beach, with a swim, our son had fun playing soccer with other travellers and Off-duty crew, a visit to a fishing village, a cycling tour to a village (with optional electric car transport for those not up to cycling) and a cave tour - all well organised.

We enjoyed the 3 day Halong Bay cruise aboard the Auco 1 and it was amazing. The vessel was well fitted out and maintained brilliantly which ensured a comfortable trip. The cabins and restaurant were air conditioned which was absolutely necessary with the humidity on the bay. All of the meals on board were superb and I cannot fault them at all. The 3 day cruise included many interesting tours and activities which were planned to perfection by the staff. Every staff member did an amazing job and they put 110% in. Thank you for a great cruise.
AU CO 2 is the boat to luxuriate on whilst cruising through beautiful Halong Bay! We were greeted on board with the biggest genuine smiles and welcome. The cabins are first class and every amenity on board is geared towards pleasure and convenience. The meals were simply sensational and beautifully presented - a real gourmet experience! The staff (all of them) are to be complimented for their gracious and helpful service. We would recommend the 2 night cruise, which is just the right about of time to do justice to the Bay and all the activities it has to offer (including the bike trip to the Village, kayaking, and some swimming in the crystal clear waters and discovering some stunning island beaches).
I thought that the whole cruise was very nice and that I would definitely suggest it to friends. I wish the cruise was longer, it should go for a week and not only for only 2 nights.
It is probably one of the most expensive cruise on Halong Bay: but why being stingy on the highlight of one trip in Vietnam. All the meal on the boat were very good. The ship is very well maintained and the staff very nice.
My fiancé and I was on our engagement trip on Au Co cruises. We toured to Halong Bay Area and had a few trips to nearby Vung Vieng Fishing Village, kayaking, grotto, and more. Halong Bay itself was a gem that everyone who goes to Hanoi must see. The views are superb during summer season altho it has been very hot. The staffs are always caring and they would bring waters and first aid kits whenever we do excursions outside of the cruise boat. To make our trip more memorable, I have specially requested a dinner for 2 at the grotto. It was perfect. The staff did an extraordinary job to decorate the grotto with hundreds of candles, and they have provide a private dinner for us, moving all he equipments from the boat to the grotto. It was super amazing. Our cruise Manager "Fook"(happy) was very good to give us a lot of historical background of the area. The cruise we went was a small number with around 20 passengers. We were very glad that all members on the cruise were friendly. We had a great time in Halong Bay and I would suggest this cruise for everyone including family, couples, and the retired group.
My husband and I joined the Au Co 1 (Alex was the manager) for a 3 day 2 night tour of Halong Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise: the room was great and the food was very good, especially the BBQ dinner on the top deck. It was a pity though, that we could not go to Cat Ba Island, as I was really looking forward to it. The Au Co cruise was terrific and I would recommend my friends to join.
We originally booked the Bhaya cruise from the same group but once we arrived to the dock they upgraded us to the an co which is much nicer and bigger. That's not it. We were traveling with our baby at that time and once again on board of the boat, the staff brought us to the end of the boat to one of their suite. What a surprise! During the whole trip 3d2n we were pampered by the fantastic staff that make our vacation fabulous. Can't recommend them enough.
All dishes were excellent. We were pleased to eat a lot of vegetable and fruits grown in Au Co own farm. Every staff is so friendly and kind that we felt happy.
This boat is truly luxurious - from the beautiful rooms to the 5 course meals, we had a fantastic cruise through Halong Bay. There were enough activities to keep you entertained but not so much that you felt overwhelmed. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work on the boat. It's true that you can probably find a less expensive cruise in the bay, but it is definitely worth it for the level of service and for all that is included! I would definitely recommend staying 2 nights in Halong Bay rather than just one night. It is a long drive there and you can really relax if you know you have the time to do so.
Cruising Halong Bay on the Au Co is the ONLY way to experience this special part of the world. Every detail from arrival pier-side, embarkation, excursions, meals, and disembarking is expertly seen to by the entire staff. The food is off the chart. This cruise line sets a standard well outside the rest of pack conducting tours on the bay.
Cabins with private balconies, five course meals, private jacuzzi deck at sunset, exceptional service, very strong value for money. I can't imagine that there is a better way to experience Halong Bay. The George Clooney of cruise boats.
The staff were wonderful and helpful, the food was amazing, the trips were great fun, the cabins beautifully appointed. We had perfect weather too. The staff found out it was my husband's birthday during our trip so made him a special birthday cake and cocktail, and sang happy birthday to him at the last night barbecue. This cruise was the absolute highlight of our tour. Try to get up for the Tai Chi in the mornings, it was lovely. Thankyou to all crew and guides, you were superb.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Au Co Cruise. The team were absolutely wonderful in making us feel so welcomed and could not do enough for us. They were even so much fun they went kayaking and swimming with the customers! The activities organised were fantastic and very informative. Joy (the Manager) and Mong, one of the attendants, were so lovely and friendly. I would recommend this cruise to anyone, it was the perfect way to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of Halong Bay while having a wide range of entertainment (cooking classes, Tai Chi, cycling!) along the way.
I took the 2N/3D cruise and I was completely blown away by Au Co cruises. First, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfy. Second, the staff were just amazing. They were always attentive and made sure we were having a great time. Third, the food blew me away. Overall, when you pay for a premium in Southeast Asia, you don't always get it the quality, but Au Co really delivered. I have already recommended them to everyone I know and if I'm ever back in Halong Bay, I would definitely use their services again.
My husband and I recently cruised Halong Bay on the Au Co. It was a wonderful experience. The boarding process was very easy. Our room was quite large and very well appointed. The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the spa experience as well. There were a number of excursions planned and each offered a different experience from touring caves to kayaking on the bay.
My wife and I normally are not interested in cruise industry type travel. However, we wanted to experience Halong Bay so we booked a 3-day and 2-night trip on an Au Co vessel. It was delightful. The staff was spectacular. They ensured that our every need was met without delay and with joy and sincerity. The accommodations were top notch. Of course more food than we could eat. We would definitely do it again.
